FAQ of the Month
Why don't you have Strawberry ice cream year around?
We source our ingredients locally as much as possible. This means some flavors will only be available during the season they grow (such as Strawberry, Lemon, Orange, Plum, etc).
We do this because it is our mission to support our local economy and local businesses, while also seeking out ingredients that we believe to be at their highest peak of flavorful freshness.
Here is a short list of some of the ingredients we source locally:
Strawberries, lemons, oranges, almonds, basil, rosemary, sage, honey, eggs (for macarons & cookies).
We also source our chai from Chico Chai, coffee from Daycamp, and many products such as Earl Grey, Lavender, and more from Chico Natural Foods. With every ice cream purchase made at Savor, a portion of that money stays in Chico's economy, supporting local families and community members. We believe that small ripple helps keep our community is thriving and vibrant!
BAKERY OFFERINGS
*Always Gluten-Free*
As part of our long-term vision, we will continue to expand our gluten-free baked goods. Currently, every week, our baker makes about 80 cookies, 30-40 brownies, and 100 French Macarons. These are available while supplies last each week.
We are a dedicated gluten-free shop in every facet of our production, with ice cream and baked goods. We do not use gluten in ANY part of our food productions and take care to ensure to the best our ability that every product used is certified GF.
